09.15.2012 Cynthia and David

Here I am, sitting on the floor of my room in my home in Taiwan, listening to the music of the ice cream…I mean, garbage truck and cats meowing outside my window… I start to think, how can I better improve my photography business? I’m usually not one to worry about things like this. As an optimistic, I usually just go with the flow and let things happen naturally. Maybe it’s all the free time I’ve been having (and by free time, I mean non business related), and maybe it’s just being away from my business in Toronto. Not being able to promote my business at the wedding shows this year… Yes I am worried! Not that I don’t get enough bookings, I am already booking 2014 weddings! But I fear that my business is not growing as fast as I’d like.

This is a phase that a lot of my photographer friends went through. I’ve finally reached here. I just need to push through this phase and I just know that everything will be okay. I truly love doing what I do, and I am good at it too (if I may say so myself)!

Speaking of improving my business, one way of doing it is by assisting other photographers. This allows me to learn how other photographers work, and gives me an opportunity to better develop my own system of working weddings. :)

Over the past summer, I had the opportunity to assist a great photopher and a great friend of mine, Sandy from Sandy Tam Photography. I always enjoy working with friends and seeing Sandy doing her ‘thang at her weddings? You can really tell why she’s doing so well in her business! Which is also why I had recommended her to be my best friend’s wedding photographer!  :)

The day started at David’s home for me for the groom prep. Here are a few of my favorites from Cynthia and David’s wedding. :)
